Alexandra believes in building upon strengths to foster growth and change. She has experience providing counseling services to individuals, couples, families, adolescents, children, and groups. Alexandra has interest in serving individuals who are experiencing grief and loss, anxiety, depression, adjustment-related difficulties, stress, and anger management.
Alexandra earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology and a Minor in Criminology from California State University, Fresno in 2014. She also received her Master of Science (M.S.) with Distinction in Counseling, option Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling (MFCC) from California State University, Fresno in 2018.
Currently, Alexandra is working on obtaining her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Marriage and Family Therapy with a Specialization in Medical Family Therapy from National University. Her focus is in working with individuals who have chronic or acute medical difficulties (e.g., disability, terminal illness, etc.) and their families. Through psychotherapy, she helps individuals and families cope with difficult and stressful transitions by finding acceptance and meaning.
